WHAT IS INCLUDED?

To get you and your lens a step closer to these beautiful birds of prey, we have a custom-built photography bird hide located in a secluded valley home to a regular few feathered friends. You can expect to see buzzards, kites as well as roe deer and muntjacs. In order to minimize any disruption to the natural and wild behavior of the birds and deer, the hide is only open three days a week.

One of the unique features of this photography hide is the distance that it affords the photographer to the subject. This is only possible with the use of a specially imported one-way glass, from photo-logistics.com in Barcelona.

THREE ADVANTAGES OF THE USE OF THE ONE-WAY GLASS.

1. You can freely move the lens, allowing you to take photos of flights and actions without scaring away the animals.

2. It provides your facility with better acoustic insulation.

3. Above all, they allow birds or other animals to have a sense of security that is difficult to achieve with a hide with holes for taking off the lens.

WHAT TO BRING

• SLR/ camera, 300mm+ lens, memory cards, batteries
• Warm outdoor clothing
• Food and drink (and a book)
• A container or she-wee (there are no toilet facilities and you cannot leave the hide during the session)
• Sensible footwear as its can be slippery and muddy

ACCESS

You can bring your car within 100 yards of the bird hide, but in order to minimize noise and disruption and remain as natural as possible, the last few steps are only accessible on foot.

FACILITIES

There is no electricity in the hide. We also advise that you DO NOT LEAVE the hide as these birds are notoriously shy. Please bring all your supplies with you and a thermos to keep warm. Please also take all your rubbish away with you. There are no toilet facilities but there is a pub in the village you can drive to.
